WISH+ (Watershed Interventions for Systems Health Plus) Project Launch in Fiji
A concluding workshop of Phase 1 of WISH - Watershed Interventions for Systems Health project, a program implemented by the Wildlife Conservation Society – WCS, in partnership with the University of Sydney, Edith Cowan University and Fiji National University, was held on 12-13 October in Suva.
This event was an opportunity to communicate on the results, challenges, lessons learned and impact of the WISH Fiji project.
On this occasion, phase 2 of the program, now called “WISH Plus,” funded by the Kiwa Initiative was launched in Fiji. This will expand the scope of the project by working regionally at key sites in Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
This Kiwa "WISH+" project, worth €4.8 million, will focus on integrated watershed management and is the third regional project under the initiative.
