Today, the Kiwa Initiative turns two!

The Kiwa Initiative, two years of existence and still so much to come for the next years.
We sincerely would like to thank all PICT representatives, donors, partners, project leaders etc., as members of the Kiwa community since the beginning of the adventure in 2020.
Thanks also to:
📍 The 837 Participants in the workshops and webinars co-organized in 2021 by SPC and SPREP and 695 Participants in the Virtual Capacity building webinars organized in 2021 by IUCN, all from the 3 Pacific sub-regions covered by the Kiwa Initiative (Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia).
📍 People who worked hard to submit a project: almost 40 concept notes already submitted for regional projects and 170 concept notes for local projects. More project ideas are expected within the frame of the 2022 call for regional projects which will close on April 4, 2022.
The Kiwa Initiative, with a budget of 41 million euros, currently includes 2 launched regional projects (Pacific Organic Learning Farms Network - POLFN and Pacific Ecosystem-based Adaptation to Climate Change -PEBACC+), and soon a third one to be signed!
The best is yet to come in the Kiwa Initiative!
