The Kiwa Initiative launches its first local projects in the French overseas countries and territories

The Kiwa Initiative and its partner IUCN are pleased to announce the launch in New Caledonia and French Polynesia of 5 new local projects for climate change adaptation through Nature-based Solutions #NBS.
The 5 grantees of the first call for local projects managed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature - Oceania Regional Office (IUCN-ORO) in the French Overseas Countries and Territories are:
In New Caledonia:
🌳 PERENNE - Protection and Restoration of Riparian Zones of the Nera by WWF-France in NC.
🐦 SARA - Safeguarding, Restoration and Adaptation of Seabird Colonies and Associated Ecosystem Services, by the Province Nord, Nouvelle Calédonie.
🌲 HÙN MÔÔ'M KAHOK - Human's behavior, by the Association for the Conservation and Management of Mount Panié (ACCMP Dayu Biik).
In French Polynesia:
🌊 ARU KOMO - Preservation of the water resource on Anaa atoll, by the Association Pu tahi haga no Ganaa (Tuamotu).
🌱PROTECT UA HUKA - Development of the Ua Huka biodiversity protection program, by the Association Vaiku'a i te manu o Ua Huka (Marquesas).
