The importance to assess Human Rights Risks in #NbS projects

In the framework of the Kiwa Initiative, Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), in partnership with Talanoa Consulting, has developped a comprehensive #human #rights #risk #assessment tool tailored #for #organizations and #practitioners in the Pacific Islands. It might ensure that NbS initiatives prioritize people’s well-being and avoid causing harm.

🔍 Why conduct a human rights risk assessment? Identifying NbS potential impacts on human rights is a critical step to preventing and mitigating harm to people resulting from a project.
