Sharing expertise between Island countries and French territories in the Pacific
The visit to New Caledonia in October 2022 of part of the Kiwa POLFN regional project team from Fiji, Nauru, Solomon Islands and Tonga is a good example of what regional cooperation and expertise sharing between Island countries and French territories in the Pacific means.
During this trip, POLFN members exchanged with their counterparts of the EU-funded PROTEGE, implemented by Pacific Community-SPC, whose network of organic demonstration farms launched in 2020 is established in New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis and Futuna. The workshops they benefited from and the feedback from the farmers' network will be very useful for the deployment of the POLFN project, implemented by POETCom and supported by the Kiwa Initiative.
