The team headed to the Driodrio Forest, where the actual tree planting happened. The rangers had pre-dug the planting holes to make the planting easier. The holes were dug along the planting lines that were cut into the grassland connected to the Driodrio Forest the week before.
Ranger Ranadi organised the event: “This is our way of saying we are still very much committed to protecting Mother Nature and it also gives us a chance to get our young ones to come do some good work in the park before they head back to school.”
The Kiwa Initiative climate change adaptation and resilience project started in 2022.
More tree planting sessions are planned for the park this year.
