Follow-up to the project:
SARA, safeguarding, restoration and adaptation of seabird colonies and associated ecosystem services

Thanks to the monitoring of devices set up to attract and stimulate diamond tern colonies, surprising results have been observed on the Yan'Dagouet islet (Koumac city, New Caledonia):
While the teams were expecting to see diamond terns, it was actually roseate and crested terns that bred near the decoys and under the protection of the masts.
The rangers of the Northern Province remind us that the islet is closed to the public to respect the breeding cycle of the tern colonies.
