PEBACC +: Scaling-up ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change in the Pacific Islands

The Kiwa PEBACC+ project is officially resuming its activities in Ouvéa, New Caledonia, marking an important milestone in regional efforts to adapt to climate change.
Led by the Syndicat Initiative Iaai-Ouvéa, the project was launched in August 2025 and relaunched its field activities in June 2026, following a period of suspension. This resumption has made it possible to re-engage a range of local partners, notably the ASBO, the Commune of Iaai-Ouvéa, Ouvéa Anim', the DGSO, the island's seven nursery growers, and several partner associations.
