Kiwa INSPIRE organises the Monarch Festival in the Marquesas Islands
30 July 2025
On August 2nd and 3rd, 2025, Fatu Iva (French Polynesia) will host the Monarch Festival, a festive and committed event dedicated to the protection of the ‘Ōmā‘ō ke‘eke‘e, a critically endangered endemic bird species.
Organized by SOP Manu, in partnership with BirdLife International and with the support of the Kiwa Initiative, the festival combines awareness-raising, cultural celebration, and hands-on conservation efforts.
The programme includes creative workshops for children, and guided walks, local crafts, and nature quizzes for adults.
