PEBACC +: Scaling-up ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change in the Pacific Islands

The Kiwa PEBACC+ project has completed the final presentation of its field demonstration activities in Kouaoua, New Caledonia, offering a concrete model for securing water resources through Nature-based Solutions.
The event highlighted four integrated components: participatory monitoring of water resources, led by Yannick Dominique and Elvys Gourou; agroforestry and regenerative hydrology, in partnership with Frederick Levy, the AGIR association, and Geo.Impact; improved fire management, coordinated with Marine Aubert, Carole Wema, the CIE, and the New Caledonian government's PPGR teams; and finally, watershed restoration.
