EMPOWER: Engaging mobilisation for positive outcome in water, ecosystem, and resilience

As part of the Kiwa EMPOWER regional Project, Live & Learn Fiji staff and volunteers took part in a three-day GEDSI Training of Trainers fully dedicated to the integration of GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion) into climate action through Nature-based Solutions.
Facilitated by Live & Learn Fiji’s Gender and Resilience Officer, this training represented a key organisational capacity-building step. It enhanced participants’ understanding of the core principles of GEDSI and their close link to Nature-based Solutions, from project design through to implementation and monitoring.
Participants were equipped with practical frameworks to better identify and address specific needs, inequalities and challenges faced by different social groups, ensuring more inclusive, equitable and effective projects on the ground.
The training will also be rolled out in the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu, supporting the regional uptake of inclusive approaches.
