PEBACC +: Scaling-up ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change in the Pacific Islands

This week, SPREP is hosting a Cross-Site Learning Event under the PEBACC+ project, bringing together participants from Lenakel, Port Resolution, and Port Vila.
Through field visits, restoration activities, and shared learning, participants are exploring ways to safeguard forests, protect marine ecosystems, and strengthen local livelihoods.
Serah, a young forestry intern, shared:
“This event has inspired me to pursue agroforestry… the trees we plant today will benefit our children tomorrow.”
Funded by the Kiwa Initiative and the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM), PEBACC+ is supporting Pacific communities in leading sustainable, locally driven climate action.
