107 people from 14 Pacific Islands Countries and Territories eligible for the Kiwa Initiative have participated in the webinars co-organised by our partners the Pacific-Community-SPC and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme - SPREP last week.
As partners of the Kiwa Initiative, the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and the Pacific Community (SPC) co-organised two regional webinars on 15 and 17 December 2021 to present the Kiwa 2022 Call for regional projects and the technical assistance the two CROP Agencies can provide to project proponents.
Over one hundred participants attended the webinars, including representatives of local and national authorities, NGOs and regional organisations from 14 Pacific Island Countries and Territories eligible to the Kiwa Initiative.
The webinars were an opportunity to present the Initiative and detail the eligibility criteria for the call for regional projects, as well as to discuss the concept of Nature-based solutions with concrete examples, and how they can contribute to the resilience of Pacific communities and ecosystems.
The replay of these webinars and information about the current call for regional projects are available here: https://kiwainitiative.org/en/submit-your-project/a-new-call-for-ideas-for-regional-project-is-open
Reminder: the call for regional projects closes on April 4, 2022.
