What do we mean by community?
Community and sharing are basic tenets of Pacific societies that is why we use the term of “community”. It is a powerful concept in the Pacific. It is what holds people together in common beliefs, lifestyles, values and solidarity. It is a place of protection and fulfillment for Pacific people.
The Kiwa Initiative can be thought of as a community revolving around activities,providing its members with the resources they need to act, whether they are donors,partners, applicants or project holders or grantees.
Being part of the Kiwa Initiative community means sharing common values, and interests and, sharing know-how, being informed, learning lessons from other and striving towards a common goal: to adapt to climate change using the tools that nature provides.
