Kiwa Initiative honoured at 5th France-Oceania Summit
During this summit, which virtually brought together the Pacific Countries and Territories on July 19, 2021, the heads of State, governments and territories stressed the need to adopt Nature-based Solutions to adapt to climate change. In this context, President Emmanuel Macron announced the renewed support of France (€5M), the European Union (€4M) and New Zealand (€1.2M) to the Kiwa Initiative and the Nature-based Solutions it promotes. Thus, the Initiative dedicated to climate change resilience and biodiversity conservation in the Pacific has now raised €41 million.
A new impetus to address together, and for the benefit of Pacific communities, the major global challenges of climate change adaptation and biodiversity conservation!
