International Women's Day

How do we link climate change resilience with reducing gender-based discrimination ?

While the impacts of climate change affect everyone on the planet, women feel it more intensely. In the Pacific, women's roles and #responsibilities have been structured around direct access to resources, their use and transformation. Therefore, women have their rightful place to be the primary actors in climate change adaptation projects.

For Kiwa Initiative®, implementing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in Pacific island countries and territories goes hand in hand with reducing gender-based discrimination.
