GEDSI workshop: Strengthening Equity and Climate Resilience

The third regional workshop focusing on integrating gender equity, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) into nature-based solutions (NbS), was successfully completed. It was organized in partnership with Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP).
This event brought together 25 participants to share experiences on incorporating GEDSI into 17 local projects and 5 regional projects across the Pacific. The goal is to advance toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly regarding climate action and gender equality.
Elodie Vitalis from AFD emphasized the importance of collective learning, while Dolores Debrum-Kattil from the Marshall Islands Conservation Society highlighted that community engagement is essential for project success.
The outcomes of this workshop will be shared to amplify the voices of Pacific communities on climate change and biodiversity. Together, let’s continue to develop inclusive and respectful solutions!
