A Kiwa side-event held during the Pre-COP15 meeting for the Pacific!

The Pacific preparatory meeting for the fifteenth Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) took place from 17-21 October 2022 in Nadi, Fiji.

On this occasion, our partner IUCN ORO organized a side event dedicated to the Kiwa Initiative which allowed us to present to the participants of the pre-COP15 (CBD) meeting the opportunities that Nature-based Solutions - NBS can offer and to share how the Kiwa Initiative supports Pacific Island Countries and Territories in implementing NBS for climate change adaptation!

Our partners the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme - PROE, represented by Mathilde Kraft and the Pacific Community - SPC represented by Anne-Claire Goarant, spoke at this Kiwa side event presenting respectively, Kiwa's second regional programme, PEBACC+ - Pacific Ecosystem-based Adaptation for Climate Change Plus, and more globally the regional component of the programme.
